The pet play lifestyle is full of so many voices that make it unique and vibrant. To showcase this, every month we will be shining the spotlight on a particular human animal or Handler in our community. Let's hear what makes every pet player special!
This month, we're highlighting a special pup in our community...
PUP SEA!
Please introduce yourself, your pronouns, and how you identify in pet play.
My name is Marina but I go by Pup Sea. My pronouns are she/her and I'm a puppy. My breed is a Bernese Mountain Dog or a mutt of unknown breeds.
How did you first get into pet play and discover your headspace/role?
I first discovered pet play when I was a bit younger. I typed in "pet play" [on an internet search engine] originally to see what it meant because I read it in a story. Once I turned 18, I began to practice pet play more with online SoCal Creatures events and found that I connected more with puppy play than anything.
What are your favorite pet play activities?
My favorite pet play activities are definitely training with my owner, but I [also] enjoy romping in the woods and playing with my toys. I feel like that definitely brings out the puppy in me.
What helps you get into your pet play headspace?
Accessories definitely help me get into the mindset of a puppy, or being around my puppy friends. I love wearing ears and tails. But my favorite has to be puppy hoods.
How, if at all, do your intersections of identity influence your pet play?
My identity kinda influences my pet play with me being a young bi racial girl. That's where being a mutt comes in. Growing up, I was always called a mutt. Now I apply that to my pet play.
What do you love most about pet play?
What I love about pet play is not only the community but the freedom of being myself when it comes to dressing up and acting like a pet. I love the community - everyone here is so inspiring and encouraging ❤
